5 primary colors (after François d’Aguilon)

2021, UV ink on acrylic glass 12 x 12 in (30.48 x 30.48 cm) each

Exhibited: Finale Art File, Makati City

The work is a nod to François d’Aguilon’s notion of the 5 primary colors which are white, yellow, red, blue, and black. These colors were fortuitously used due to the film roll’s exposure to sunlight. As the subjects come from her photographs, instead of using paint, colors were produced by the film roll, and light exposure was used.
