Opposing Forces is a single-channel video artwork that explores the themes of meditation and realization through the use of black-and-white imagery. The video depicts a river, with the flow of the water, the movement of birds, and the sediment slowly drifting away. The stillness of the rest of the frame invites the viewer to reflect on the idea of life being static, or in a state of stasis. The artwork presents a metaphorical question to the viewer: will you go with the flow, or stay still? Through this contemplation, Opposing Forces encourages the audience to consider their relationship with the world around them, and how they choose to engage with it.
